Biographical/Historical note

Harvey K. Turner was the son of William W. and Wealthy Turner. Born on April 4, 1835 in Lake County, Ohio, he moved to Allen County, Indiana in 1852. In 1857 he married Harriet Essig, who died on May 12, 1867. They had five children. Turner married Jane Harris on September 15, 1869. Turner was township assessor, Justice of the Peace and County Commissioner. He held several offices in the Northern Indiana Agricultural Associations.
